everything glitters in college
well, i'm not so sure if thats true or not. but i sure as heck brought alot of glitter with me. this container exploded in one of my boxes, and after most of it spilled onto my living room carpet i tried to pour the rest of it in a plastic bag. then i proceded to find a spider in a plastic bag, and i tried to dump him out in the bathroom, and got glitter in the toilet, sink, and bathtub. not quite sure how that happened. lastly, as i carried a picture frame up the stairs i hadn't noticed that it was sprinkling gold glitter all the way up the stairs. wait til my folks check out my new interior design for them.
so far my folks have been adjusting to this all relatively well (KNOCK ON WOOD). though there are comments for almost everything. i think i may like their company this time around more than they like me...after all i'm the obnoxious college kid who came back knowing everything better and is depressed due to the fact that she doesn't see anyone in sweatshirts and flip flops within a one mile radius. as i drove my mom to work today i realized i'm surrounded by hundred of people middle aged. where'd all the kids go?? is there a summer camp for post-college kids. is that what they call grad school?
anyway...booked hotels for europe, got a brand new cell phone, and finished unpacking. i also witnessed someone trying to rob blockbuster. and i got cut off and beeped at countless number of times on the road....yeahhhh welcome back to queens. the accent sounds like a foreign language. and its more ghetto than i remembered it to be.
